Da Yon (David) Park began his medical studies by earning a bachelor’s degree in premedical studies from Hawaii Pacific University.

While studying in Hawaii, David was an ER and ambulatory care volunteer at Kuakini Health System in Honolulu. Prior to continuing his studies to become a physician assistant, David worked as a scribe for the Novant Health Emergency Department in Haymarket, Virginia, and as a medical assistant at the National Spine & Pain Center in Centreville, Virginia.

David completed his studies as a physician assistant at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. While at Lincoln Memorial, David completed an extended 12 week clinical rotation in orthopaedics, completing 153 hours in clinic and 72 hours in surgery. He also completed seven clinical rotations in other medical specialties.

These unique educational and life experiences have led David to pursue a career in orthopaedics. He joined Fair Oaks Orthopaedic Associates, under the tutelage and supervision of Dr. Stephen Pournaras, in January 2019.

David is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and the Maryland Board of Physicians, and has been certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

In his spare time, David enjoys photography, listening to and playing music, cooking, running, skiing, and reading.
