David Park is a certified physician assistant, specializing in Orthopedics, is an interictal part of our practice since 2019. David is always working very closely with Dr. Pournaras by treating hand & upper arm extremities, side by side making sure you receive the best health care we have to offer.

As a Nurse Practitioner at Fair Oaks Orthopedic, partnering closely with her husband, Dr. Stephen Pournaras, Jr., Christine began her career as an orthopedic nurse at the Washington Hospital Center. After several years, she transferred to the shock trauma intensive care unit, caring for patients with various extensive post-operative orthopedic and trauma injuries while continuing to further her education in nursing. She graduated with honors from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Christine completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Family Practice Medicine. She graduated with honors from George Mason University School of Nursing.

Dr. Pournaras is the best of the best. My wife is Pre Op RN for Inova and former ICU Nurse; nurses know the best selection when it comes to complex surgery. My hands have been operated on 5 times for dupuytren's contracture going back 20 years in my life. I am a retired Army COL and my last surgery was with Bethesda Naval Hospital; they were great but not as good as Dr. Pournaras! He has an excellent PT group associated with his organization and are also fantastic. If you want an awesome result, Dr. Pournaras is your answer. Highly recommend!

Surgery went very well Im very lucky to have had such an amazing doctor @Stephen W. Pournaras. Major surgery done took a bone from my pelvis and screwed into my scaphoid in wrist to connect the bone and shaved off the arthritis. 100% recommend this place . Great customer service

I have been a patient of Dr. Pournaras for many years. I have found him to be one who listens, is responsive and an excellent physician. Early in the pandemic I concluded, at the last minute, that it would be unwise to have elective surgery. He could well have charged me a late cancellation fee which he did not do. I would not hesitate to use him again, as I expect that I will do.
