As a Nurse Practitioner at Fair Oaks Ortho, partnering closely with her husband, Dr. Stephen Pournaras, Jr., Christine originally attended a local community college and received an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. Christine began her career as an orthopedic nurse at the Washington Hospital Center.
After several years, she transferred to the shock trauma intensive care unit, caring for patients with various extensive post-operative orthopedic and trauma injuries while continuing to further her education in nursing. She graduated with honors from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She also trained with the top medical professionals, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons in the Washington
Metropolitan area for aesthetics training.
Christine completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Family Practice Medicine. She graduated with honors from George Mason University School of Nursing.
Christine is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in various clinical settings and recently began working with Dr. Pournaras. She is involved in the entire continuum of orthopedic care for Dr. Pournaras’ patients, and you will see her in the office practicing orthopedic, weight loss and aesthetic medicine.
She enjoys gardening, getaways to Florida beaches, and traveling worldwide.
